🇬🇧 Kite Photography Mission
From 9 to 20 February 2012, Bernard-Noël Chagny, Franck Derrien, and Coralie Gradel (SFDAS) conducted a new kite photography campaign of archaeological sites in Sudan. The mission covered the sites of the French archaeological teams working in Sedeinga (SEDAU – Claude Rilly), Mouweis (Musée du Louvre – Michel Baud), and Doukki Gel (Institut de France, University of Geneva – Charles Bonnet).

In parallel with this new campaign, an exhibition entitled « Autre regard sur le Soudan. Le cerf-volant au service de l’archéologie » in addition to two conferences were organised at the French Regional Institute in Khartoum in collaboration with the SFDAS. This project received funding from the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) for the promotion of scientific culture.
